Cardiovascular disease (Heart attack and stroke) is the most common cause of death among women across the world. Very few are aware of this fact. Women, the family's primary caregivers, have less time for self-care. But their health is neglected and unaddressed. Her Heart - Women's Heart Centre is an initiative by the Department of Cardiology, Amrita Hospital, Kochi, to help women cope with their cardiac health concerns. Dr. Saritha Sekhar, Interventional Cardiologist, is in charge of the clinic. The clinic will provide services such as diet planning, simple exercises, and yoga along with screening for cardiac diseases. Creating awareness about the risk factors, regular health checks and follow-up measures will be part of the services.
