Dr. Gautam Singal is a senior cardiologist with over a decade of experience in advanced cardiac care. He has worked across leading hospitals and academic institutions, with deep expertise in emergency cardiology, interventional procedures, and clinical research.
He has also served as Cardiologist to the Honorable President of India (2014-16) and held key leadership and teaching roles in reputed medical colleges.

Amrita’s Department of Adult Cardiology is among the most advanced heart care centres in the country. It is home to South-East Asia’s largest repository of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy cases and the country’s first dedicated Amyloid Centre. Each year, the department cares for nearly 50,000 cardiac patients, building deep expertise across complex and rare heart conditions. We have a full-fledged Non-invasive Cardiology Lab with state-of-the-art 3D echo lab facilities. The following tests are conducted:
In house availability of Cardiac PET/PET CT and cardiac MRI enables us to provide the highest level of care for complex and/or advanced heart conditions.
We have a fully equipped, centrally monitored, 30-bedded CCU, which has a 24-hour emergency cardiac care facility, including defibrillation, pericardiocentensis, temporary pacing and intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation. We have cutting-edge cardiac monitoring technologies and a staff-to-bed ratio of 1:1. Our CCU has rapid access to cardiac catheterization laboratory.
